Join our friends at the Central Wisconsin Nature Foundation for the 4th Annual Central Sands Water Walk on September 21st.

The event will begin with a sunrise ceremony promptly at 6:15 AM on Lake Arrowhead County Beach (15th Avenue, Town of Rome, Adams County).  At 7 AM Mike, a PT from Gunderson Hospital, will lead the group in warm up exercises before the walk begins at 8 AM. The 6-mile walk will be followed by an ARDC bus that can be flagged down if you tire but elders may participate by riding the bus the whole route.

Afterward, all are invited to the Rome Town Hall for a Native American celebration and dinner, prepared by Kathy from the Chatterbox Café.

Paco Fralick will be singing and Shari Redfox will be presenting the group with a great honor –  her father’s ceremonial drum. Her Cheyenne father Ralph, came to Shari in a vision, and told her to give the drum to the water walkers.

The afternoon will conclude with a drum circle led by Elmore Lincoln and all are invited to participate.

Registration is now open for this free event!  To register just email your name(s) to cwnf@solarus.net so they know how many people to expect for food.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call (715) 325-1972.
